Embedding a Doc in a Blog

Embedding a Doc in a Blog

In week one I wanted to embed a Google Doc in my Blog post. We learnt how to embed a video in week two, so I will now attempt to apply that learning to a Doc.

Here is the document I created in week one:

Attempt 1

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-5IjCkyHisCX_5m3sKDvfZPfuySSsIxI4x38ihgjH4Y/edit?usp=sharing

Not what I was hoping to achieve. Dave had mentioned I might need to place it in as a photo.

Attempt 2

Better - but not as good looking as a picture.

Attempt 3

This is the best so far - I took a screen shot of my document, but to crop it I had to paste it into a slide. Then I took a screen shot of the slide (from present mode).

Not ideal - too many steps.

  1. Hi Julia you are really getting out the posts a rate of more than one a week.
I like the way you are considering workflow and looking for efficiencies. Some of what the DFI will do is help identify the ways of going about things that suit you. There are a few way efficiency comes - choosing the workflow that suits you and what you are trying to do, becoming familiar with shortcuts (knowing when you can drag and drop etc) and just becoming faster at steps through abit of time on the block. I think that it was well worth it in terms of impact to add a picture. When doin that from slides it might be easier / cleaner to go to the file menu and choose export to .... the picture shows an eye for design. Do you have one of those? (eye for design)

Unfortunately I will be in Wellington this Friday and luckily Kerry who I think you know will be taking care of our bubble.
